As a part of the Friends of the Crooked River 22nd Annual RiverDay 2012: a celebration of the benefits of a free-flowing Cuyahoga River. RiverDay aims to raise awareness among everyday citizens concerning the importance of the role the Cuyahoga plays in their everyday lives and to highlight the need to continue the improvement of the quality of our River. RiverDay events also include cleanups, habitat restoration, canoe paddles and hikes that feature the numerous recreational, cultural and historic natural resources of our American Heritage River. Peninsula Art Academy Fiber Cafe 9th Annual Fiber
Art Show
The Peninsula Art Academy Fiber Cafe Studio is pleased to announce the ninth
annual Juried Fiber Arts Show to be held at the Peninsula Library
from July 28 through August 24, 2012. Artists are invited to enter
their work in the show, open to all area fiber artists. Welcoming variety, any
media that contains or speaks to fiber.
There will be categories for both functional and non-functional works.
Prizes will be awarded. There is a $25 entry fee for members ($30 for
non-members) for up to three works per artist. Entry fees need to be received
no later than July 25, 2012 to: Peninsula Art Academy; PO Box 171, Peninsula,
OH 44264. Art works should be delivered to The Peninsula Library
during library hours beginning July 23. For information and an
